Having been referred to the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute team for previous similar projects, we were trusted to bring together a new promotional video for their site and for use in fundraising the millions of dollars required for critical cardiac research. No pressure!
Showcasing 30 years in 2 minutes was the task, but the challenge was conveying the incredible scope and tremendous impact of their life-changing research.
With 2 days of shooting on location in Sydney, this promotional video needed to feature the real scientists and researchers at the institute, leveraging their specific projects in an engaging way.
This project’s concept, script and direction was handled by our own Tony Walsh, with cinematography by Brian Loewe.
To highlight the technology and 30 years of research, we wanted a look that felt sci-fi but nostalgic, opting for the brand new Atlas Mercury anamorphic lens series.
